This item is for the Gen5 Twin 6.5 subwoofer enclosure equipped with two Digital Design RedLine 506 subwoofers. This is the first GTR subwoofer configuration equipped with two 6.5″ subwoofers to proactively respond to rising industry trends for small diameter and high-performance subwoofers. The DD 506 is hailed as the top subwoofer in its class and has been recently remodeled with an upgraded suspension, dust cap, and metallic red logos. Make no mistake, this twin 6.5″ setup packs a serious punch as DD Audio has a long pedigree of high-output competition subwoofers. Please note that these subwoofers are rated for up to a total power handling of 800 continuous watts at 2 ohms. A quality amplifier that delivers the rated power is highly recommended for optimal performance.

Housing the subwoofers is the highly regarded Gen5 twin curved subwoofer enclosure. The enclosure for the twin 6.5″ system has additional internal reinforcement to prevent baffle flex while also incorporating internal corner bracing to reduce air turbulence. Internal airspace is further expanded using a calculated area of BlackHole stuffing. Threaded inserts are built into each enclosure on the sides and rear for using bolts for mounting and attaching accessories as opposed to screws. Enclosures are finished with gold hardware, gold terminals, and a 1/4″ layer of high-density foam with upholstery that is nearly identical to the factory GTR interior. A rear centre console cover and rear deck cover is included to carry the OEM stitching from the front arm rest, through the rear console, and onto the subwoofer enclosure.
